Creative Writer
We are looking for a creative writer to join Kutuki’s creative team to write children’s stories and rhymes that lend themselves easily to animation.
The Role
– Come up with plots and ideas for stories and rhymes that balance learning and imaginative thinking for Indian origin children between the ages of 2-6 years
– Write non-lengthy, humorous, plot driven, original stories and rhymes around our main characters Kutu, Ki and Minku and other supporting cast
– The scripts and rhymes must reflect the quirks, idiosyncrasies, catch phrases and personalities of every character to make them memorable and likable for children
– The stories and rhymes must be written in a way that they are suited for 2D animation
– Must work closely with voice over artists to indicate voice modulation, emotional cues required to bring the script/ rhyme to life
– Must work cohesively with the creative team and complete scripts within timelines
Requirements
– At least 1 Year experience as a creative writer
– Experience in writing for animated content or video based content is a must
– Must be able to incorporate localised references and scenarios that will connect with Indian children and families
– Impeccable spoken and written skills in English is a must
– Ability to come up with original, imaginative, creative ideas is a must
– Must be organised and have a process oriented mindset for building efficiency and creative productivity within the creative team
– Must be a team player and work within deadlines
– Must be passionate about children’s content
– Interest or experience with visual arts, music and theatre would be a bonus
